These uniforms will be great for your athletes to wear to LT football games on Friday nights to support our hometown team.Īll flags will be provided on the day of the game for the athletes to use. Each team will have a designated color in an effort to continually support the Lyons Township community. We are the feeder program to LFC tackle and Lyons Township High School and therefore want to represent these programs. Coaches will need to participate in a background check on a yearly basis.Īll players will be given a completely customized Lions jersey and shorts for the season. We would like to have 2 coaches per team and will split up teams based on the availability of coaches to volunteer. We would not be able to run the league without the generous volunteers to help teach and mold these young athletes into talented football players. Game times will vary week to week to help with athletes playing multiple sports.įlag football coaches are volunteers who are committed to following the vision of the program. There will be games on Labor day weekend, in order to complete all of our regular season games. Games will start the weekend of August 26th – 28th and the season will conclude on the weekend of October 21st – 23rd. The season will consist of 6 regular season games, and then a single elimination tournament at the end. The 4th grade league will have kids play quarterback but the coaches will help in the huddle as the offensive coordinator. The 1st-3rd grade leagues will have coaches quarterback their teams with an emphasis on run and pass plays. The league will be split up into 4 separate divisions for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders to make sure the instructional level and skill level for each team is balanced. We will stress sportsmanship, safety, respect, and teamwork to the young athletes in a competitive but fun environment.

We want the flag football program to be a bridge between young athletes who have never played before into our tackle program to prepare them and teach them for the future. We will ensure that every athlete gets equal playing time and has a positive experience as they start their journey through the LFC program. This league is open to anyone who wants to join and learn the basics of throwing, catching, blocking, and defense. LFC flag football is an introductory league for young athletes interested in getting started in football. Welcome to the area's premier football program!!!
